About me:
I was born in South Africa.
At an early age I started taking portraits of native Africans in their natural
tribal environment.
There has always been something
about being able to tell a story by capturing an individual’s facial expression.
Especially in photographing children who are less aware of the camera, and less
conscious,
and let their face tell more about themselves.
After moving to Israel where I live in the Arava Desert in Kibbutz Yahel, and
completing a course in portrait photography,
by a South African photographer
- Oscar Abrahmovitz, I made the change to digital photography.
I started using
a studio for my portrait photography. I now use a canon 350D which I am very
happy with.
Over the past few years, I have become more aware of the objects that surround
us that we take for granted in
our day to day routine. When I am looking at an
object I like to think that the object has many
different angles and textures.
We never really look at them and notice them in our everyday life.
I hope I have
captured these special features of life, and can bring you to take a
closer look at the
small things that surround us in our daily life. If after seeing some
of my photographs, you will look closer
at the things that surround you in your
daily routine, I would feel that I have achieved my goal.
I would be very happy to hear from you, if you have any thoughts about my
work.
